How to calculate Zakat?
Enter the total current market value of your shares.
If stocks are held for trading, zakat is due on their full market value. If held for long-term investment, scholarly opinions may differ regarding treatment of dividends and asset value. If your zakatable wealth exceeds the nisab for one lunar year, zakat of 2.5% applies.
