Zakat on Gold
If you also hold other assets such as cash, silver, stocks or cryptocurrency, use our full zakat calculator to calculate zakat on all assets combined.
The gold nisab depends on the live gold price today, which changes daily.
How to calculate Zakat?
Enter the total weight of gold you own (grams, tola, or ounces) and select its purity (karat). The calculator converts your gold into its current market value using live gold prices.
The gold nisab is equivalent to 87.48 grams of pure gold. If the total value of your zakatable assets meets or exceeds this threshold and has been held for one full lunar year (hawl), zakat of 2.5% becomes obligatory.
This calculator focuses specifically on gold holdings. If you also own cash, investments, silver or cryptocurrency, use the full zakat calculator to assess all assets together.
